This not the first time the US diplomat is taking aim at the government for poor handling of the Anglophone crisis
Ambassador Tibor Nagy faced-off Yaoundé before his March 13th, 2019 meeting when he says the government was responsible for the escalating situation in the affected regions, forcing the government to issues a counter statement of its own
In an interview with French radio RFI, the diplomat called the detention of Kamto unacceptable and says the government is not doing enough to resolve the Anglophone crisis as they should
Most recently after the fall of Sudan’s Bashir due to a popular uprising, Tibor Nagy said Cameroon was the next priority on his mind, prompting many to think the US is after regime change in the country.
